— Chili Cook Off —

This 10th Annual Downtown Anderson Chili Cook Off is a tradition for the entire family! Local and regional restaurants as well as independent chili cookers come together to show off their favorite recipes and get a chance to win a trophy and prize money. In celebration of the tenth anniversary, there will be a separate celebrity Chili Cook Off competition, AnMed Bed Race, and more! The event will be on Tuesday, October 28, 2008, from 5:30-8:00 p.m. on Main Street (between Earle and Market Streets) in Downtown. A $4 ticket will get you a 4 oz. taste of each competitor's chili creation. Please feel welcome to bring a chair to sit in as you enjoy the free live music, but for the safety and comfort of our guests and furry friends we respectfully ask that you leave your pets at home.
