Anderson International Festival

The Anderson International Festival is a partnership of more than ten public and private community organizations in Anderson County. These organizations work together to produce a month-long series of events around January of every even year, in order to bring the rich cultures of people from various areas of the world to people of all ages in our county and the upstate. Previous areas include Russia in 2006, the Celtic nations in 2008, and West Africa in 2010. The theme for 2012 is to be announced. Discover more information at www.AIFPassport.com.

Anderson Soiree

The annual Anderson Soiree is the largest street festival in Anderson County. With an inviting combination of live music, street performers, food, crafts and children's activities, there is truly something for everyone! Come, bring the family and friends to enjoy a relaxing time in Anderson each spring – remember, "There is a Party Going On!!"

Main Street Car Show

Held each year on the Saturday before Father's Day in June, the Main Street Car Show is hosted by our local Main Street organization. Come see antique and unique cars and trucks, and take in Downtown shopping and dining while you are here.

Anderson University Downtown Connection

Downtown Anderson merchants and restaurants welcome back Anderson University students during this fall event. Students: Look for Downtown businesses who offer YEAR LONG discounts to you as well, just for showing your college i.d.!

Greek Festival

Anderson County Farmer's Market
Learn about Greek culture as you watch the dances and enjoy the delicious, authentic cuisine. Held every October at the Anderson County Farmer's Market in Downtown.

Downtown Chili Cook-Off

This annual event in Downtown Anderson, SC is a tradition for the entire family. Local and regional restaurants and independent Chili cookers come together to show off their favorite recipes and oh yeah – win some prize money! Whether you are a brave soul looking for a spicy treat, or the rest of you that can only handle the mildest of tastes, this is the place to be. Expect to taste the best Chili masters – enjoy some entertainment and spend some quality time with the family!

Holiday Walk and Tree Lighting

Courthouse Square and Main St.
Join in the festivities of lighting the Christmas tree on the square in front of the Anderson County Courthouse. Afterwards, visit Downtown shops and restaurants during extended hours and open houses. This event is held on Friday before the Anderson Christmas Parade.

An annual Downtown Event held on the first Sunday of December at 3:00 p.m. Enjoy the floats, bands, and seeing a certain well-known gentleman in a red suit waving to the crowd.
